TOPDRIFT ROUND 3 moved to October 3!
In support of our friends from Drift Circuit and our San Diego friends. We moved round 4 to October 3 ‘09.
We are going to be in San Diego to support our JustDrift drivers, TopDrift competitors and friends. Also some of the competitors and judges will be in China for the WDS Drift exhibition. So the new date for TOPDRIFT round 3 is October 3 2009 7AM – 5PM.
This is a 2 day event.
Day 1 – Topdrift round 3 – quest for FD License for 2010! Points are up for grabs still! So get your game face on! Drivers meetings starts at 7am and goes all the way to 5pm with a Team Tandem match up!
Day 2 – Justdrift/Federal Tires drift clinic – A Drifting clinic where beginners can learn how to start drifting. This is also open for Intermediate to Advance level of drivers. We have instructors on site if needed.
Run both days for $200! Bring plenty of tires! Hopefully the weather will be a lot better in October!

NZ Drift Series Finals Info & Date
It was always going to be tight, but the management of Hampton Downs recently confirmed that the motorsport park will not be ready for Round 5 of the NOS Energy Drink NZ Drift Series in association with NAC Insurance. Apparently the track surface would be fine, but the many important facilities required to accommodate a crowd of NZ Drift size will not be completed in time for the November 21 meet. As a result, NZ Drift will now be a four-round series, with the November 21 date scheduled for Hampton Downs now unfortunately eliminated from the 2009 series. The Hampton Downs event has been causing all manner of frustrations throughout the year, with three adjustments already made to potentially accommodate the new motorsport facility. However, as a result and, reluctantly, to complete the series within 2009, the grand final will now be held on October 17 at Pukekohe Park Raceway.
Heading into the final round, things could not be tighter at the top end of the field, with just 22 points separating Gaz Whiter and Mad Mike Whiddett. Gates will be open from 10am, and spectator entry is a mere $20. Make sure you head over to www.nzdrift.co.nz to catch up with the latest updates.

British Drifting Championship Round 5 Finals – Gallery
Nat Twiss, 15 year old photography prodigy from the UK, has sent us these sweet photos from Round 5 of the British Drifting Championships. Holy crap! I think we need to take a trip over to the UK. Look at these cars!!!! Things I have never seen before along with the old faithfuls. Lots of close tandem, wall love, smoke, dirt drops, and broken aero all over the place. These photos remind me of just drift events here in the states, Frickin crazy. Enough idle BS. ONTO THE PICTURES!!!!!!!!
Thanks NAT!!!!!! For the gallery with over 200+ pictures click here.
