TEAM FALKEN TAKES FIRST AT ROAD ATLANTA FORMULA DRIFT
ATLANTA, GA – Team Falken continued its winning ways when Falken driver James Deane scored yet another first place finish in Round 3 of the 2017 Formula Drift Championship at Road Atlanta. Deane fought tough battles all evening to take top honors and move into the lead for this year’s Black Magic Pro Driver’s Championship.
Twenty-eight entries qualified for Road Atlanta, with Falken teammates Matt Field in 4th; Justin Pawlak in 9th; Piotr Wiecek in 11th, Deane in 13th; and Daijiro Yoshihara, 23rd. Deane, piloting his Nissan Silvia S15, and running on Falken AZENIS RT615k+ tires, continued moving forward, defeating Dean Kearney in the final. His podium finish continues a record of strong finishes at Road Atlanta, which was the 14th time Formula Drift had visited the legendary racetrack.
“This is an important win for us,” stated Steven Wong, Supervisor, Passenger Car Events. “Falken’s continued success in Formula Drift with our new AZENIS RT615K+ once again proves that this tire is a strong, consistent championship contender.

Formula DRIFT Round 3: Road to the Championship Results; James Deane Takes Back the Lead with the Event Victory

Formula DRIFT PRO 2 Round 2 Atlanta Results; Travis Reeder is Victorious and Moves to the Top of the Standings
Long Beach, Calif. – May 12, 2017 – The Formula DRIFT PRO 2 season continued to Road Atlanta. Travis Reeder takes the win and moves to the top of the PRO 2 standings.
PRO 2 entered Atlanta, GA for the second event of the season. The future stars of the sport took to the famous Road Atlanta track and put on a show for the devoted fans.
King of Europe: Joe Hountondji takes leadership in the ProSeries
Round 2 of the Federal Tyres King of Europe series took place under the scorching Spanish sun at the unique street layout for the 2017 season at Valencia Circuit. Having used two layouts on the track in previous years, this custom course provided the opportunity to make the task for the drivers even more challenging.
As the competition got tougher than ever, some of the most intense battles we’ve witnessed along with varied uneven surfaces provided drivers with the ultimate test – leaving the thousands of spectators on the edge of their seats.
It didn’t stop current King of Nations Champion Nicolas Delorme showing that he’s here to fight for the top European spot this year during qualification with a score of 90.75. His incredible runs saw him achieve the highest attack speed at 106km/h along with highest line and show points of the day. Continue reading
