On Saturday May 16th, thousands of fans decended on Castle Combe and Japfest ‘Europes Biggest Japanese Car Show’.
As usual there were club stands covering every available parking space, with so many cars on display we have decided to show you just a few of our favorites.
The trade stands had enough to look at without having more show cars infront of them, not that we are complaining! This S2000 on the Meguiars stand stood out as did the the Jaguar on the Zillalife stand.
The DriftKings competition is the main part of the event, pulling in all of the spectators, many of them doing what they can to get a better look at the action.
£1000 was on the line so everyone would be trying their best to impress the judges, a high speed entry and a good line around the track would take home the prize.
A big flick across the crest, through the left hander and past the speed gun before heading around the right hander of Quarry, sounds simple? Not when your initiating at over 100mph, many drivers got it wrong and had an excursion across the grass, some made it out to the walls but this year we didnt see too much damage to the cars.
After the three sessions were over, Chris Smiffy would emerge as the 2015 DriftKing after 117mph entries and clean lines.
Don’t miss out on the rest of the Fast Car Entertainment Series of Shows, we will be at Japfest2 and Trax, for more information take a look at http://www.traxshows.co.uk/other-events. Until then we will leave you with some more photos.
