Released today through Modified Magazine, Rhys Millen and his RMR crew will be building a Genesis Coupe for the SEMA show, to be debuted in Hyundai’s booth. While the press release doesn’t state any intentions for campaigning the car in Formula D, the car will be ‘readied’ to compete in time attack, Formula D, or Pikes Peak competition. Remember, the Red Bull World Championships will be happening just a week after SEMA, could we see the new car in action at the event?
The 4-cylinder turbocharged car is slated to have Bridgestone tires, Sparco Seats, a 12-point cage, custom RMR-designed widebody, Brembo Brakes, KW Suspension, and an HKS Sequential transmission. Although this is the first official release about a Hyundai being built for SEMA, we sense that several other cars may be in the works.
We’ll be at both SEMA and the Red Bull World Championships, stay tuned for more details!
