BALTIMORE, Md. (October 17, 2013) – The 2013 Formula Drift season has come to an end with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift Team finishing as the highest qualifier overall and 5th place in the Championship. This is the second consecutive year that Vaughn has finished the season as the highest qualifying driver. Vaughn was also awarded the “Ace Driver of the Decade”, a huge accomplishment for the 2010 Champion, as this award means he has won more tandem battles than any other driver in Formula Drift history.

BALTIMORE, Md. (July 24, 2013) – Over the weekend, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift Team made their way to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington for Formula Drift Round 5: “Throwdown”. The 2010 Formula D Champion and the Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR supported by ASD Motorsports gained crucial Championship points after qualifying in 4th place and finishing top eight overall.
Evergreen Speedway hosted a sold-out crowd and the RTR Drift team activation area was a prime destination for the fans to pick up some fresh gear, take a picture with the Monster Energy models, get at autograph from Vaughn, charge their phone and use the free Ready to Rock Wi-Fi, and check out the Mustang RTR Spec 2 or Vaughn’s ’69 Mustang RTR-X.

It was a night of extremely tough battles for the 2010 Formula D Champion and the Monster Energy Nitto Tire Ford Mustang RTR supported by ASD Motorsports, but the weekend’s hard work paid off with a 4th place finish overall.
Even with the unpredictable weather, thousands of fans came out to see their favorite drivers battle it out on this high-speed entry and very technical course. The RTR Drift team activation area was a prime destination for the fans, a place where they could check out the ’69 Mustang RTR-X, the 2014 Mustang RTR Spec 2, grab some VGJR, Drift Alliance, Speedhunters, Electric Visual, and RTR swag, or take a picture with the lovely Monster Energy models.
