Here we are at the end of this massive event. Thank you to Red Bull for putting on such a great event. So here it goes…
Rhys Millen Vs. Dai Yoshihara
Rhys leads and comes in at 103.7mph, both on the wall through the sweeper with Rhys just staying on the wall through to the S. Dai with a slight gap on the S and Rhys staying in drift till the end.
Dai leads and Rhys is on his door through the sweeper. Dai spins on the S! Rhy avoids the hit and drifts out the rest of the course. Rhys takes the championship for RMR and Red Bull.
Sam Hubinette Vs. Tanner Foust
Sam leads with a great initiation as Tanner mirros Sam through the sweeper but is a bit shallow on the S part of the course.
Tanner leads with Sam staying on the throttle and on Tanners bumper for the run. Slight gap on the S from Sam. Tanner takes 3rd for the event.
We are at the Final 4 and Red Bull is represented via Rhys Millen
Sam Hubinette Vs Dai Yoshihara
Sam leads with great entry speeds of 102mph, Dai on Sam through the sweeper with an earlier initiation, Dai aggresive on Sam though the S and out the exit.
Dai leads and both initiate with Sam on the side of Dai, Dai into the sweeper holds his line and Sam goes into the wall. Dai will move on
Rhys Vs. Tanner Foust
Rhys leads and both initiate early and both on the sweeper wall, Rhys closer and Tanner closer on the 3rd clip. Good over all run for both.
Tanner leads with Rhys giving chase, through the sweeper and out Rhy with a better line as Tanner was a bit shallower. Into the S and out they coast through no problem. Rhys is called the winner.
Top 8 tandem action has begun and we are that much closer to seeing who will be the Red Bull Drifting World Champion…
Ueo Vs. Yoshihara OMT
Ueo leads and just a killer angle and super early entry once again. Great angle and rides the sweeper wall, Dai giving chase has a gap and not fully able to close the gap.
Dai leads and initiates early, 96mph entry and Ueo gives chase, has a big correction on the sweeper to avoid a hit on the door. They call it as Dai moving on..

Ueo Vs. Yoshihara
Ueo leads and comes in once again with massive angle and speed. Initiates super early and able to come up to the wall and ride the wall with Dai closing in and able to shadow him out the remainder of the course.
Dai leads and initiates super early showing he can do the same thing as Ueo. Dai able to get some gap on the 2nd clip but Ueo corrects, Dai has to correct near the end and Ueo passes Dai. Crowd yelling OMT! Judges call it OMT!
Sam Hubinette Vs. Chris Forsberg
Sam leads and runs a solo run out the gate, Chris sitting on the line and were getting word that his car is dead on the line. Seems that it was driver error and he stalled on the line.
Chris leads and comes out hot with good angle(Crowd cheering OMT due to the first run). Sam ran shallow and just an ok run. Judges call it Sam Hubinette.
Mike Widdet Vs. Tanner Foust
Tanner leads with Mike giving chase, great initation from both and Mike taps the wall on the sweeper. Comes to a halt then drifts off again. Tanner maintains drift and runs out the course.
Mike leads and comes in fast and sideways, 97mph entry and takes out the plastic barriers and straightens out, re-begins to drift and runs out the course with Tanner giving chase. Tanner moves on
Rhys Millen Vs Vaughn Gitten JR
Rhy leads and has a good initiation and angle. JR comes in hot and hits the wall… Knocking himself out of the event. Rhys moves on
Top 16 tandem action has begun and here we go to see who will be the Red Bull Drifting World Champ! Tons of action and see if your team or person you are rooting for makes it to the Top and hits the podium. Click the jump to view the Top 16 runs.
We are taking a 30 minute break/intermission as Red Bull takes one. There will be the Red Bull Air Military fly by at 230 prior to the begining of the Top 16. Crooked X is performing on the Cooper Tires stage and the Red Bull Marching Band will be performing as well. We will come back at you live at 2:30.
Quick update on the drivers, we have 10 International drivers/country’s moving on and 6 USA drivers(10 drivers from Formula Drift). Top 16 begins in 30 minutes
