17 drivers are in for tomorrow, as Darren McNamara couldn’t make the trip to Vegas due to customs. Hayashida will be allowed to drive if JR is unable to get a loaner vehicle to pass tech tomorrow.
This is JT’s first top 32 placement. He drove 1 qualifying pass in Long Beach after having to put in some extra work to pass tech, and was unfamiliar with the course. He’s had several practice runs this weekend, and is feeling much more comfortable now. JT is a former D1NZ Champion, and has competed in the US at the D1GP in December the past two years.
Tony Brakohiapa only made 1 pass in qualifying after his crash in practice, but it was good enough to make the cut!
Robbie Nishida clocked 94mph and 98mph entry speeds on his 2 passes, his Peak Performance / Hankook 350Z looks to be near perfect!
