The start of the 2018 Formula D season is right around the corner and we are so ready to see some car’s smoking up some tires again on the city streets of Long Beach. James Deane looks to kick of his title defense as well as trying to repeat his Rd.1 win from last season. Deane and his team were sure one fire last season and look to give the field another taste of what they have, but will we see someone challenge him for the top spot? Will it be a favorite Formula D veteran or will we get a new up and coming driver throw it down right off the bat. Now let us know what you are most excited for this year, From new builds to drivers or tracks. Share your excitement with us and you might get change at getting to see round one in person.

I can’t wait to see the up close and personal view of a new Ferrari drifting….body work flying, bouncing off the barrier’s and competitors or prancing like a stallion?
Given the strength of James Deane’s impressive run last year, he will probably have a strong showing to start out Rd. 1. On the flip side, Fredric Aasbo strong out of the gates as he transitioned from his Scion to the Toyota Carolla and did not seem to look back will provide great head to head competition are my pics to finish off the year as leading title contenders again.
Big block V8’s of Vaughn Gitting Jr. and Chelsea Denofa should fair well at Long Beach, but I think the nimbleness of the imports will prevail in between the concrete canyons of Long Beach.
It will be interesting to see how well Taylor Hulls Cadillac translates to the Formula Drift stage this season.
We love Formula Drift.
