For the past few weeks we have been invited out to Adam’s Go-Kart Track in Riverside, at first I was skeptical. In all reality I was taken back due to its location, but even though the trek is lengthy, I made this trip. Now as I arrived there… I am seeing quite a bit of cars and people. To me this was a huge surprise as I was now at what I thought was the middle of nowhere. Or so I thought! There was close to 200 cars in the parking lot and at least 250-350 people in attendance. Well, that was a very good start to this trip already. This was very positive for a grassroots event that has become a weekly thing. First thing I see is some local grassroots guys putting on a show for this crowd. Some good runs ensued and as well some runs that we will say is amature. The 6th car I see come out is a nice black 350z. Hot on entry and with a very early initiation smacks the only light pole near the track. The crowd goes wild and gets rolled off the track. The rest of the night ran with no other incidents and the crowd stayed till 9pm when the drifting ends.
What I can recommend is to make this trip! It is well worth it to you grassroots guys that want to get in some seat time. For the fan that loves the sport, it is another great way to support a motor-sport we love and want to see keep moving forward and progress. Spectators can get in for 3.00 per person. Driving is 20.00 per hour! You get a lot of runs in this course. There is a more advanced track on the back end, which is not by the spectators but still worth it for the seat time. So basically 2 tracks and they are open from 6pm-9pm. That’s 4 hours!
