Formula Drift:R3 Top 16 Tandem Results from Wall
Opening Ceremonies Under way and we prep for Top 16 of Round 3 @ Wall!! Stay tuned here for Top 16 runs…
JR Vs. Joon Maeng – JR leads with Joon staying close and on JRs bumper. Good solid run from both. Joon leads with JR giving more smoke and slightly more angle. JR gets the win.
Rhys Millen Vs. Robbie Nishida – Rhys leads and comes in with good angle. Robbie with a much a shallower angle but still in drift. Good solid run from both. Robbie leads and both come in with a lot of smoke and fast paced run. Judges call OMT.
OMT! – Rhys leads, and another good run from both drivers. Robbie leads and its almsot identical again. Judges call OMT again!
OMT 2! – Rhys leads and straightens while in drift. Looks like something may have broke to cause such a correction. Both head back to the line andRhys gives chase. Millen with a steering problem and Robbie will get the win.
Justin Pawlak Vs. Chris Forsberg – DA Brother battle! Both come in high and hot, orseberg staying on JTPs bumper through the first run. Solid run from both. Forsberg leads and has a great initiation and putting out a smoke screen. JTP gives chase and is able to close a small gap on transition and stays on Chris. Forsberg moves on.

Rhys leads, both drivers mirror each other through the course.
Robbie lead, Robbie leaves Rhys by multiple cars. – Robbie advances
DMac Vs. Ross Petty
Dmac leading Ross spins in the gravel.
Petty leading, even runs through the course. DMac has so much smoke. -Darren advances
Tony Brakahopia vs Justin Pawlak
JTP leads tony spins in the horseshoe.
Tony leads, both runs even. JTP advances
Joon vs Pat Mordaunt
Joon leads and spins in front of Patty Cakes
Pat leads, Drivers almost even but Pat advances because of the spin
Sam vs Chris Forsberg
Too even to call from the judges. Judges say OMT – Sam takes 5 mins
OMT!
Sam leads. Chris is all over him.
Chris leads. Both drivers insanely close!!!!!!!!
OMT 2!
Sam leads, Chris is all over him again and smokes the whole track out!
Chris leads, Sam runs into Chris at initiation! Crowd boos. Chris advances
Miki vs Tyler
Miki leads. Both runs from both drivers. Evenly matched
Tyler leads. Miki follows but goes wide in the hiorseshoe and puts two wheels off. – Tyler advances
Hampshaa vs JR
Jr leads. Hamsphaaa is alllllllll over HR through the whole course
Hampshaa leads. Insane run from each. Hampshaa pulls car lengths on Jr – Hampshaa advances
Tanner vs Gushi(Scion Vs. Scion)
Tanner leads with Ken all over Tanner. Tanner smokes out Gushi through the horseshoe.
Gushi leads. Tanner spins on initiation!!!! Gushi advances!
2009 Formula Drift: R1-SOLB – Top 16
Taka Aono Vs. Jeff Jones
Taka leads with Jeff giving chase and both with great speed and angle on initiation and into the sweeper. Jeff taps and straightens but regains drift and gets back on Taka through the remainder of the course.
Jeff leads and is able to pull a nice gap through the course. They get a OMT from the judges.
OMT
Taka leads and Jeff is on Taka through the course. Great run from Jeff as he mirrors Taka through the course.
Jeff leads, and smacks the wall straightening. Trys to regain composure and drift and smacks the wall one more. Taka moves on
Tanner Foust Vs. Katsuhiro Ueo
Tanner leads and comes out with very nice angle and smoke. Ueo comes out with almost no angle and not in full drift untill he hits the sweeper. Ueo takes a cone out on exit of the course.
Ueo leads and great initiation, Tanner shallow on entry but able to ride Ueo through the sweeper and out the course exit. Tanner moves on
