Autosport International celebrated its 25th year in style with cars on show from almost every motorsport discipline.
As soon as I walked into the show I was greeted by Ken Blocks Fiesta on the M-Sport stand, I took the opportunity to have a few minutes alone to checkout the utimate Fiesta before the show was opened to the public.
After that I headed over to the Maxxis Tyre UK stand to see the two new drift cars from It’s A DriftLife and Team Japspeed. The LS14 from It’s A Driftlife looked great sat there, I cant wait to see Christian Lewis tearing up the tracks around Europe in the King Of Europe Pro Series.
Later that day Shane Lynch revealed his new car, a 370z with a forged VH45 and Quaife sequential gearbox.
The British Drift Championship stand was my next stop, this year they had five cars on display. Marc Huxley’s new livery had been applied to his Toyota RA28 Celica alond with a new drag wing, I heard that they may be some more power under the hood this season too.
Simon Perry’s now retired Skyline was out on display before it gets sold and replaced with a R35 Skyline.
Slide Motorsport gave everyone the chance to see thier newest build in the form of a BMW E92 with an LS engine.
Gary Dunne’s SR20 powered S13 was also on display, Gary has recently joined Boss Motorsport so you can be sure to see plenty more of him and his car throughout this year.
Wayne Keeber’s Soarer made up the final space on the stand, he has joined GBH Motorsport and some changes with the car ahead of the year should mean another competitive season.
Mark Luney’s 1000HP+ Supra was on the Nankang Tyres stand, this car gets my attention even though I have stopped to look at it countless times throughout the 2014 season.
Over on the Miller Oils stand was Steve ‘Baggsy’ Biagioni’s car along with a matching Crazy Cart, RC Car & his King Of Kings trophy.
There were plenty of other cars on display including a Bentley GT3,
Jim Clark’s Lotus 38 used to win the 1965 Indianapolis 500,
a grid of F1 cars including this Sauber,
the awesome 4×4’s on the Ultra4 Racing stand. This is Jerry Hunt’s car from Team Gigglepin, its a purpose built chassis powered by a LS3 V8, the only stock part is the bonnet!
I’ll leave you with some more photos from the show including the BTCC cars and some classic machinery.
