We headed to the Three Sisters Circuit in Wigan on March 15th to check out their Track Attack event, a combination of car show, public track time and drift demonstrations.
We arrived at the circuit early to see the cars arriving with everything from Skylines, Kitcars & Mini’s.
The public track session gave people a chance to take their own cars out for 10 laps around the track, some interesting cars were being pushed to their limit with both the Rage buggy and the BMW 1 Series regularly coming through on the edge of traction.
What we really came here to see was the drift cars and their demos throughout the day, plenty of cars had turned up to show off for the crowds and to test their cars before the season starts. Owen Autobodies also revealed their new drift team and their cars for this season, Sam Owen with his Lexus IS200, Charlie Hulme with his Nissan S13 & Chris Laidler with his Nissan S14.
A few other drifters took the opportunity to show off their new look cars with Alex Law proving it is possible to make his S14 even lower, at times it was scraping on the ground as he accelerated out of the corners.
Mike Lardner revealed his new livery for the Team Voodoo Skyline.
All of the drifters put on a great show, we will leave you with plenty more photos from the day. If you want to check out drifting at this awesome track then head along to Round 2 of DriftCup on July 4th. There are also more Track Attack events this year, take a look at http://www.three-sisters.co.uk/ for more info.
We would like to thank everyone that helped organise the event and we look forward to more events at this track.
