Trax 2015 was held at Silverstone, the home of British Motorsport, on the 19th of July instead of its usual September date.
Trax features plenty to see and do on and off the track, this year the number of cars was less than previous years but the quality was still there. This clean R34 Skyline stood out amongst the trade stands.
The JapImports Toyota Chaser JZX100 is always a pleasure to look around, fitted with a BN sports kit and finished in BMW Metallic Brown.
It took a few hours to look around the car show, by then we had seen a few interesting cars.
A quick look at some of the other entertainment around the paddock including the drift trikes.
The main attraction for us an many of the public were the drift demonstrations, running four forty minute sessions throughout the day.
The British Drift Championship had turned up with a selection of drivers from each of their classes to put on a show for the crowds.
Some 15,000 people packed into the grandstands and up against every inch of fencing around the track to see how the drivers turn a new set of tyres to smoke in a matter of seconds.
Silverstone is a wide, high speed track allowing the drivers to run close together for the whole track. Somewhere behind Ben Manual’s BMW is the Skyline of Adam Simmons.
The iconic BRDC building makes a great backdrop, its a shame that drifting is only here once a year.
Ryan Pothercary and Adam Weeden from Genetic Drifters are always happy to show off for of the fans, glued to each others doors for most of their tracktime.
Toward the end of the day the drivers would push for bigger entries.
Four car drift trains were released in the last session to give the drivers the maximum track time, this has the double advantage of being a crowd pleaser.
Next up for the British Drift Championship is Round 4 at Lydden Hill over the 22nd & 23rd of August, for more information click HERE
Until then enjoy some more images from Trax.
