Y. Kondo, drops a tire on entry into course. Runs the line asked for by the judges but went a bit wide causing the tire drop. 82.83 score from the judges.
Ross Petty, solid run, consistent line. Judges score it as a 83.5
S. Papadakis, with a early intiation and a speed of 98.2mph. Score of 82.5 from judges.
Pat “Juicebox” Mordaunt, with a entry speed of 84.6mph. Good consistent line and speed through transitions. Scores a 84.92 from the Judges putting him in top position for now.
Hiro Sumida, with a early initiation, great speed, wide on first aprex and drops a tire. Hits the clip and keeps rolling. 94mph entry, scores 86.83 from the judges.
Quoc Ly, with a solid run. Entry speeds of 90mph and maintains a consistent line through the course. Scores a 83.08 from the judges.
Blake Fuller, with a great initiation and comes in hot, fast and sieways and goes off course. A cloud of smoke and drives off the course. Score of -0-
JT Wharerau, with a great entry and great line through out the course. JT has yet to qualify this year. Comes in with a average score of 84.25 from the judges.
Tony Angelo, with a entry speed of 87.2mph and early initiation. Not much angle as he enters the couse but with some great speed carried through the entire run. Score of 85.33 putting him in top position for now.
Tony Brakahopia, is vypassed to round 2. He is having a clutch problem and pending replacment/repair.
T. Yoshioka, with a entry speed of 89mph. Great entry angle and nice and tight on the first clipping pint. Consistent speed and ends the run with a score of 88.42.
M. Haraguchi, loses speed and drift on tear drop and drives out the course. Scores a -0-
Bill Sherman, with a nice angle on entry, lots of smoke and showing why he is “Wild” Bill Sherman. Entry speed of 97mph, and scores a 91.75.
Justin T. Pawlak, another person with great speed and angle on entry. Losses drift on exit of the teardrop lossing drift and scores a -0-. Hopefully theres no issue with the car.
Kenji Yamanaka, great entry with some good speed and angle. Tight on the clip and maintains speed through course. Entry of 90mph and scores a 92.17 from the judges.
Taaka Aono, with a early initiation and maintains speed through the first turn and into the first clip and into the 2nd is tight on it. Entry speeds of 88mph and scores a 90.83
Kazu Hayashida, with a nice entry, little off on first clipping point on exit of the tear drop but overall a great run. Speed of 85mph and scores of 90.17
Kyle Mohan, witha entry speed of 93mph and hits the course with a eaerly initiation and maintains speed through the the first clip. on entrance into the 2nd clip fires off 4-5back fires giving the crowd more with the rev limiter being hit. Scores of 93.17 from the judges.
Ken Gushi, with a entry speed of 84mph and has a good initiation and hits the first clip. Loses drift and gets a -0- from the judges.
Steph Verdier, with a entry of 88mph. BIG angle and maintains speed through course. Applauds from the judges and the crowd. Scores a 91.75 from the judges.
Vaughn Gittin Jr., with entry of 92mph and holds down a steady speed line and angle through the course. Scores a 89.67 from the judges.
Ryuji Miki, with a shallow angle on entry, speeds of 91mph and gets a score of 86.17
Robbie Nishida, with a early initiaon and speeds of 89mph. With some great angle and able to close up on the clipping point. Entry on to the 2nd clip is equally good and scores a 91.75
Conrad Gruenwald, with an entry speed of 98mph, early initiation and a deep angle which he maintains through the course and into the first and 2nd clip. Scores high with the judges and gets a score of 94.5. This puts him in top position for now.
Darren McNamara, in the Sears Skye comes in hot and fast at 90mph and maintains some great smoke and angle from clip to clip. Lossing little sped through the transitions. This car looked really smooth. Scores a 87.90 from the judges.
Ryan Tuerck, with an entry of 86mph. Nice consitent line and angle from Ryan through the course. Scores a 89.67 from the judges.
M. Takatori, with a good angle on entry and through the teardrop. Entry speeds of 89.9mph and keeps the speed through the course. Scores a 90.33 from the judges.
Chris Forsberg, with a early initiation and speed. Hold a great angle thrrough the first clip and int the course for the 2nd clip. 88mph entry speed and scores a 94.5 from the judges.
Rhys Millen, with a solid run as he enters the couse, entry speed of 95mph. On the throttle on exit as you hear rev limiter. Scores a 95.58 from the judges.
D. Yoshihara, with an entry speed of 93mph and lays down a smoke screen. Great angle on entry and holds down a consistent line. Scores a 94 from the judges.
Tanner Foust, trying to live up to his 100 point qualifier last year. Unfortunatly has a slight correction on entry to first clipping point. Entry speed of 95mph. Runs out the course with no other corrections. Scores a 91.83 from the judges.
Sam Hubinette, with a entry of 96mph, lot of smoke and angle from Sam through the course. The Dodge Mopar car puts down a great run with some nice angle and tight on the clipping points. Scores are high from the judges. Scores a 97!
