The Nissan 240/Silvia. Plain and simply it is one legends of drfiting. It has always been one if my favorite cars. Having my Dad work at Nissan and being a racing fan I watched the Nissans race in the old IMSA series. He passed away when I was 13 but the love for Nissans has always been there.
AE86. Gotta root for the underdog! This car is classic, it represents the history of drifting to me. Ugly 80’s styling, and a low powered, high revving engine. It show’s drifting isn’t all about big horsepower.
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I have respect for all the traditional drifting platforms. There’s just one problem. Not all great cars were created in the drift friendly rear wheel drive orientation. Many great cars are not even considered drift worthy because of this. The Evolution is the acception and not the rule. It seems that nothing can stop this car from competing in any class. Power distribution or lose a few axles, either way nothing pleases me more than seeing an Evolution going crazy sideways on some rear wheel drift legend. It’s like the little engine that could. I hope to see more outside of the box platforms drifting in the future.
