Just Drift ASB2018

Posted on November 20, 2018 by Toxic

The highlight of this year hands down goes to All Star Bash, hosted by JustDrift. They have been hosting this event since 2007 at Willow Spring International Raceway. Over the years, All Star Bash has been moving closer to the end of the year to beat the heat. Most drivers come to have fun and hang out with others with no stress since competition season is over by this point. All Star Bash was held in November 10 and 11, 2018 at Horse Thief Mile and Streets of Willow Spring.

Streets of Willow Spring is a 1.8 mile track making it the biggest track that JustDrift offers. Many drivers enjoyed going the straightaway hitting over 100MPH before drifting the skid pad.

Drivers have the option to switch tracks at any time. Horse Thief Mile is a 1 mile track which most drivers are familiar with since it is a track use at TopDrift Round 2.

Taka Aono came through with his Toyota Corolla AE86 in hot pink. His car was rented for a promotional video with antisocialsocialclub previous to the event. I wonder if he plans to keep it pink for a while?

As with drift cars, it is only normal to see bumpers falling off at the track. Special thanks to the media team for taking time off their day to pick up the bumpers and leaving them at the side of the track. This allowed the track to continue without having Fire and Rescue stop the track every time.

We cannot forget about the tandems, there was no shortest this year.

Rome Charpentier, winner of TopDrift and The Drift League 2018 attended All Star Bash. Taking a break from competition as he just received his Pro2 license this year.

If that was not enough, we have tandems train, which is a must at All Star Bash. This year, most tandems trains were held at Horse Thief Mile.

This year, JustDrift makes a comeback and brings back the night drift after 4 years. They had Streets of Willow Spring open from 6pm until 10pm. Due to limited amount of lights, the track was changed and made smaller but that did not stop the flow of cars. It was perfect, drivers had little to no wait time to hit the track.

Overall, this year was a success and we cannot wait until next year.
