We got the chance to come out to check out Forza Motorsport 4 first hand a couple of weeks ago, and all we can say is DAMN! We are so looking forward to the release of this game and all the DLC (Downloadable Content). From the Autovista mode where you can actually virtually walk around the car to the normal racing mode where you get to earn cars, money and badges. Don’t forget the challenge mode where you take on the game developers put in some challenges where you can take on their scores for Cash rewards. Lots of different challenges as well. With Drifting, Time Attack and many other challenges. Last but not least, the store! Make em’, mod em’ and sell them! Paint schemes are still there and your Forza 3 projects are able to be used too!
Here’s some quick insight on the Autovista mode where you virtually walk around the car, open the doors, get in the ride that you have selected. You get to look around and see the dash, leather and actually start the car to boot! Rev the engine and yes, all sounds are from the actual cars that you are looking at. You can pop the hood or trunk and look at all the internals too. Not only do you get to do all that. There’s all a spot where TopGear’s Jeremy Clarkson actually gives you a rundown on the car from HP to small features like slight luxury’s that come installed. Autovista isn’t all the cars in game. So don’t think you will get to do this to all cars. This was setup so you can go into your super cars, your one off cars and those super rare vehicles. Why do it to a Ford Mustang or a Honda Civic? We all know what these look like or have been in one before. But a Lexus LFA? I have been near one, but never behind the wheel of it!
Tons of cars and a monthly update with pack’s of cars to keep you driving. All the normal modes we are used to and the addition of challenges for money to help you keep your bank roll happy and fat and keep you purchasing rides to keep you going for days on end! I played the game for about 30 minutes and did try out the challenge modes, of course I went for the drifting challenges first. I smashed out the ones put in by the developers and then went into Autovista mode and checked out the LFA! Such a beast of a car and the voice over with Jeremy Clarkson telling me all about this car made it that much better!
