Formula D Rd.1 Streets of Long Beach Coverage.

 Formula Drift Rd.1 is in the books and it sure did not disappoint. With a field of 61 driver including 19 rookies and a complete sell out crowd. As well as a hand full of new rides and veteran drivers in new vehicles.

Qualifying day was lead off by Ryan Tuerck throwing down one amazing run in his new Retaks s13 with a 97 point run. Click the image above for all pictures from qualifying day or Here.

Main event day was as charge as ever. The pits were packed with drift fans ready for the drifting action to start and drivers were pumped up to deliver. Top 32 was full tight racing and even a few crashes. 2012 champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. had a little brush with the wall in His run with Odi Bakchis but had a very dominating fallowing run.  Click the image above to be taken to event album 1 or Here.

Top 16 was full of some exciting battles.  Most notable were any round that rookie Daigo Saito were taking part of.  Yet again Team Falken Driver Justin Pawlak was able to take the 1st place podium spot defeating 2011 Champion Daijiro Yoshihara. the image above to be taken to event album 2 or Here.
