Hi!
I am a 17 years old drift enthusiast from Norway. I started rc drifting for about 5 years ago, and I love everything about drifting! I am a RC drifter in Team CrazyDrift with two other drifters.
My favorite drifter is Fredric Aasbo. His style and his Scion TC is sick! Like the fact that he drives a turbo engine and not a v8.
My dream is to see him drifting live the USA.
Daijiro Yoshihara has the compassion and heart of a true drifter when I met him last year round 2 Formula Drift Road Atlanta. He has driven my dream to become the next Formula D. drifter. He is my hero because last year 2011 round 7 he got a double disqualification by Ken Gushi, but Daijiro didnt get mad. Yes he may be disappointed but he took the loss like a champ.
My favorite team hands down is Falken Tire, besides the fact that they have great drivers on their team, its because 2 drive a mustang! 🙂 (Mustang 07 was my first car)
However my favorite driver is not in the team Falken Tire. Oh how to choose one driver, when its really about the drift, but if i had to choose one it would be Joon Woo Maeng! I was trying to win a ride with him @ Adams Motorsports Park & it was then when I saw how he wasn’t ashamed to glorify God & about the Word. In all the hype & fame, Joon still remains humble & selfless. I hope he becomes a champ SOON!
FROM THE MIDWEST AND TEAM FALCON ARE TRENDSETTERS
Joon Maeng is hands down my favorite driver. He is easily one of the nicest people I’ve ever met, and deserves everything he’s fought for. He will take every last second he can to talk to every fan that wants to, and sign every last poster. He is courteous to everyone and always has a big smile on his face. Not only that but he has one of the coolest teams to drive for. If you ever meet Ron and Ed you know that they are some of the most colorful people you’ll ever meet. Not only that but they have the determination to make miracles happen. They do most of their work out of their home garage, not some two story garage shop. They may not have the best track record for wins, but as a whole, there’s no other team/driver combo on the grid that I like more.
DAIGO SAITO and his Lexus sc430. 1200hp is a crazy thing to have and he has the skill to drive it. Hope he wins this season.
I am a big fan of Chris Forsberg. He stays true to the grassroots of drifting and hasnt forgot where he came from. He provides inspiration to all amateur drifters. Following his career has given me the drive to pursue my passion of drifting. The fact that he is a fellow Z guy helps too.
I am a fan of Rhys Millen. He is a great driver and I began to follow him when he drove the Solstice GXP because I was a big fan of the car itself. Now that he has moved to the Genesis I have been staying true to him and is racing team. He is a big family man and he stays true to his family first and then his love of the sport of racing. Anyone who puts family first is first in my book!
Hey whats up. I am a fan of Falken Tire. I live in Long Beach but I’ve never had the chance to go to Formula Drift. I would’ve liked to go this year but I was too busy working. Hopefully I get this chance to go to Atlanta, which I used to live there as well and never went the events either -__-
What up, Have to say i like all the drivers & teams but, the name in my head is Mr Daigo Saito. One of my favorite D1GP Drivers and seeing its his Formula Drift debut ive gotta root for him. that said good luck everyone in this ticket giveaway!
I attended the Long Beach event as my first drift event on April 6-7. It was with the Scion FR-S First 86 group. I had a great time and am now a huge fan of drifting. Naturally I pull for Ken Gushi of Team Greddy. He let us go all over his car and even let us get in the drivers seat. I would really like to win the tickets to Atlanta to take my family since we live so close. I plan to try my hand at drifting as soon as I get my FR-S.
Please pick me.
I am a huge fan of Vaughn Gitten jr and an even bigger fan of formula drift. I’m 15 and just started driving and my ultimate goal is to become a formula drift driver. I love watching drift races and formula drift is finaly in Atlanta! I didn’t get to make it last year so hopefully i will make it 😀
Dai Yoshihara. Whhy.?’ Because he stays strong and always consistent. The way he drive us like totally unbelieving.
My favorite drifter is Chris Forsberg!! He won the year before I started going to Formula D at Road Atlanta. I really like his drifting technique… especially all the smoke he can kick up!! 🙂 I met Forsberg last year at Road Atlanta and he was the nicest guy in the pits! I have been to drift the past two years and look forward to going EVERY year. I’m in my last semester of college and with all the graduation expenses I’m not sure I will be able to go to drift this year. The tickets would definitely be an AMAZING graduation present!!!! 🙂
If I ever had the chance to go to Road Atlanta, it would be greatful. Thanks to Falken tires I could last only 2 set on my stock coupe Sr- powered. But Dai Yoshihara is my Champ. 🙂
Vaughn Gittin Jr. because he drifts his mustang as hard and as fast as he can. American Muscle was the first cars that were slid around corners. JR keeps it at it’s roots with his 2013 Mustang.
My favorite driver in Formula D is Dai Yoshihara. Why? Quite simply because he is the best drifter out there in my opinion. Hes not cocky like the rest of the guys in FD and he knows how to win. Ive been into drifting for years and have been following Formula D for about 7 years. No one has stood out like Dai has, especially over the past few years.
My family loves Dai because he is just plain awesome!!! Plus my two-year-old loves him since last year he signed 2 of his shirts!
Ken Gushi is my favorite!!! I went to Rd Atlanta last year, it was my first time ever going. Gush was the first driver that day to really impress me. Now Im hooked!!
My favorite driver has to be Walker Wilkerson. His rear entry style is unrivaled by any other driver. Plus he was so down to earth when I talked to him last year in Vegas.
My favorite driver has got to be Matt Powers with his crazy car and the rockstar attitude! Matt Powers was actually the first driver I got a chance to meet and I liked the guy right away. Starting off as a one man team, this guy had potential! and now with the V8, he’s up there with the top 5 drivers! Driving for team NFS, he can’t go on the track unnoticed, he’s just pure awesome!
I am writing on behalf of my 6 year old – who LOVES LOVES LOVES the drift competitions. We have DVR’d several of the past competitions – and we watch them over and over again- he (nor I) can get enough! He has several favorites, that being Matt Powers (our last name!) & Vaughn Gittin Jr. My favorite is Tanner Faust – no definitive reason why – I love the car! And think he’s fantastic & quite skilled. Secondly, for me, I like Dai as well! Looking forward to our first live professional drift competition here in the ATL – one way or another. It will be a dream come true for my six year old to be there live and in person…..we only wish there were more competitions near us!
i choose Brian Wilkerson and BMI racing. i choose these guys because the car and engine setup they choose to run is just amazing! being his car is one of the more unique machines on the field, being that its not run by a v8 like everyone else. there’s really no reason to give a long winded answer other then to say that the rx-8 with the 4-rotor they run is one awesome machine!! GO Brian!
First off to pick one uhhh I can’t! There is so much talent so I will pick 3. First is matt powers just love the car (with he still had a Turbo )and his drifting style just throws it in. Chris forsberg would be 2nd I love the 370 and that he is running a Nissan motor and his off season stuff has inspired me. Last and this was very hard but Ryan Tuerck would be my 3rd love his off season and love his new car and think he did great in long beach and hope he kills it in Atlanta. Once again it was hard to pick those 3 but there are many others I admire Iwish tanner was still drifting he would have been #1.
Hope to win would love to see all the amazing drifters as they compete for #1
Being that 2 of my favorite drivers actually drive for the same team, it’s easy to say my favorite team would be ASD. I understand that they are one section of Team Falken and as I do like Dai and consider him one of the best, I think the crew at ASD would have to be set apart. From the beginning of ASD’s inception into the sport of drifting, they have set standards in car technology, suspension dynamics and most of all, the art of team work. I have followed ASD for many years. I have seen first hand how they dedicate every ounce of their knowledge and ability to their passion…..seeing their drivers dominate the podium. The crew makes up the backbone of the team. That being said, the driver’s make up the rest of that greatness. The sacrifices they are willing to commit to, in order to help out a team mate, are unmatched. They are some of the most well known and respected drivers in the world of drifting. They appreciate their loyal fans and have given so much back to the drifting community. I have had the privilege of meeting D-Mac and Vaughn, on many occasions. The reception I have received from them has strengthened my loyalty in leaps and bounds. The ASD crew and driver’s have always shown great passion and dedication to the fans and the sport. They set the bar in all of the above. If you have ever had the privilege of meeting ANY of the ASD crew members, whether on or off the track, you can’t help feeling anything but admiration and respect, for the amount of knowledge and spirit these individuals have for our sport. ASD has truly hand picked some of the best in the business. For these reasons, my loyalty will always remain.
wow! This is not an easy question, as I like a lot of the drivers in FD. But for this year I’m have to go with Saito, the man took a podium spot on his first time in FD (yeah he’s a D1 champ, but FD & D1 couldn’t be anymore different) also a new car and no V8 in it. Did I mention I love inline six engines.
I want to see what the man can do in Road Atlanta with the high speed entry and wish to see it life. I never been to RD2 in ATL because i live in New Jersey. I been to the last 3 rounds in NJ since 2009 after I watch a drift demo on Englishtown at a HIN event on the same year (2009) there was Chris Forsberg and Matt Waldin on their 350Zs, I got hooked ever since.
This Year I wish to attend all 3 east coast events, and it would be great help if I win this tickets. Thank You guys and good luck to everybody.
Definately dai yoshihara for being the most consistent driver in FD.
My favorite team would be Falken Tires because Vaughn Gittin JR tears the track apart every year… At the end of the night its not about position for me… Its performance. Points don’t mean a thing when your having a good time!!
My driver has got to be Ken Gushi. Phenomenal athlete in the world of motorsports. And now behind the wheel of the FR-S? That should be bonus points. Would love to see this car perform before it is released to the public. I know it’s not the same as the upcoming sportscar that’s coming out, but Ken will definitely show us all the potential in the FR-S. Ken is quick and knows when to throttle to initiate “Operation Sideways” 🙂 I would love to see Ken in action on the track as well as all the other performers! This will be my first attendance at a drift meet. Hope to win and hope Ken Gushi makes it to the top!
My favorite driver is Michael Essa because he drives BMW.
