The weekend of August 24-25 Formula D made it 6th stop of the 2012 season at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This round always manages to be full of thrills and excitement for both fans and the drivers. This time around the driver would be facing a new layout for the Vegas round.
Not only did the drivers have to deal with a course change but also the elements. From the heat of the day to a random rain storm that dampened the track for the start of the top 32 competition.
Fredric Aasbo took the #1 Qualifying spot for the event and was a dominant force the entire event producing some of the closest tandem battles.
In the finals Aasbo would face Millen for the top spot. On his lead run Aasbo would make contact with the wall causing slight damage to his car, but his team was able to get him back out for the fallow run but Millen would throw down a sold run giving him the round win. And Rounding out 3rd. place would be Series point leader Vaughn Gittin Jr. who defeated Robbie Nishida for the last podium spot.
Top 4 in Points as of Rd.6
1. Gittin 473
2. Saito 447.50
3. Millen 428.25
4. Pawlak 403
