giv-way-1

Well it almost that time of year again,  Formula Drift Time! Yup, Formula Drift Rd.1: Streets of Long Beach will be here before you know it. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary of drifting for you all. 2013 is set  to  be yet another amazing year for the FD record books!  Long Beach always brings the excitement of the first event of the year and with the debut of new competition vehicles, as well as new faces to the Drivers line up. Along with the new rule changes to the qualifying rounds and to the over all competition… You can read up on these changes here

Last year’s event would see a resurgence of Justin Pawlak and his winning ways coming back from his 2nd place finish in the championship for 2011. In the finals he would face none other than 2011 series Champion and fellow Falken Tire teammate Daijiro Yoshihara.  JTP would end up with the #1 spot taking back to back Long Beach wins. But all of the excitement for the weekend was circling around a certain rookie driver who would end up 3rd. place on the podium at the event. Why it would be none other than fan sensation Daigo Saito, who had made his way to compete in the states for the 2012 season and boy was that exciting!

Well now it’s time to write a New chapter in the books, can JTP make it a three peat or can Daigo reign supreme or will we see a new face on the #1 podium spot? Well we want you to be there to see it. We will be offering up 4 pair’s of  tickets for both days of the April 12-13 event and all you have to do is do some typing. Well here it goes and just leave a comment in the comment section below [Who do you think will take the Rd.1 win at Long Beach and what are your predictions for the overall Championship?]

There’s no right answer just ones we like and will choose. All entries must be received by April 5th, 2013 12 noon (PST). Email to winners will be sent later that evening. Make sure you leave your real email address when inputting the comment, as we will be emailing you to confirm it’s a valid address and to inform the winners. *1 The email address will not be shown to the public (This does not include air fare or transportation to the event or room and board).

CLOSED

The best 4 comments will get the tickets to the event and get to see some amazing Drifting.

*1 (Please be aware any email addresses might be shared with Formula Drift and Formula Drift only. This will not go to their partners and is just for their use and our use only. Thank you and enjoy what we do for you.)

Daigo Saito and his 2jz sc430 will win and happy 10th anniversary

I think Chealsea DeNofa will take Rd. 1 in his beastly BMW.

  4. Ron Hartung says:
    February 20, 2013 at 2:45 pm

I think Vaughan Gittin Jr. will take the win and the season…he is my favorite driver and my drifting inspiration when it comes to driving my mustang.

Cant wait for long beach… from what I been seeing in last year im in favor for matt powers this year and for long beach. Knows the tracks and alot of seat time on them now and then he bumped up his car. If anything willbe exciting to see powers lay it down!

I think somebody new will take the podium this year, my predictioin is Ryan Tuerck; his driving was strong last season and he should have had more podium finishes in my opinion…

  7. Mike says:

I think Vaughn will win LB, he is overdue for a good showing there, and JTP will take the championship.

  8. Nicole says:
    February 20, 2013 at 2:49 pm

Saito will probably take first. Yoshihara will be close behind. Either way, I know team Falken will win as always (go Falken!)
Never been in person, but I can smell the burning rubber through the tv and I would love, love to go!

    Happy Anniversary!

Matt Powers is gonna rock Long Beach with his new Katech Performance engine and blow away JTP, Dai, and Saito.

    BRING THE ACTION!!

Would love to see Chelsea Denofa take the first rd but I think Rhys will bring it home. As for the championship, I think Vaugn is going to win. Strong car and still a strong contender.

i think it will be Justin Pawlak Just so because he is a great drifter and that he was 2nd last year that means this year he will be the best. this you burning them Falken Tires up on the hot road GO JTP…..

  13. Debi says:
    February 20, 2013 at 2:59 pm

Gotta take JTP for the 3-Peat on the streets! As far as the season goes, I think it’ll be interesting, but predict another 2-3 way fight at the end with Gittin, Saito and JTP (what can I say, I’m a sucker for a sidways Mustang). I think the new rules might mix it up a little though. It’ll be fun to watch!

  14. Kasey Weber says:
    February 20, 2013 at 3:02 pm

would love to see chelsea Denofa win and ryan tuerck on the podium. However it unfolds it would be awesome to see the action live and in person!

  15. pat gwin says:

Dai….plain and simple. I also think the 4-holes will become more scarce. Big motors are easier to drive and make corrections…smaller cars and bigger engines! It will be the best season yet as FD really has their sh!t together….great web access to events.

  16. Nick says:
    February 20, 2013 at 3:13 pm

I would love to see Ken Gushi take round 1. FR-S represent!

  17. Brandon says:
    February 20, 2013 at 3:19 pm

I think Matt Powers has the W at LB An Vaughn Gittin JR will take the Championship.

  18. Chris Johnson says:
    February 20, 2013 at 3:32 pm

I believe von will have a good strong start with the new backing of Nitto and wanting redemption from last years shocking end. Daigo will be on point with having drifted this track once before….like that really slowed him before….so my guess is Von or Daigo for top spot. Pollock will be also force to reckon with and also hope to see so-cal boy matt powers make top three finish.

Round #1 (Long Beach) – Ken Gushi – Scion FR-S

Championship – Daijiro Yoshihara – Nissan 240sx SE Silvia

I think Vaughn Gittin will take the win RD. 1 at Long Beach, CA. My predictions for this years are
    ~VAUGHN GITTIN
    ~DAIGO SAITO
    ~DAIJIRO YOSHIHARA
These are my predictions for this years champions at Irwindale Speedway. Good Luck to all drivers.

    (Hopefully I get the tickets)

  21. Jonathan Williams says:
    February 20, 2013 at 4:41 pm

    1. Daigo Saito
    2. Justin Pawlak
    3. Daijiro Yoshihara

  22. Shawn Madden says:
    February 20, 2013 at 4:48 pm

CHELSEA DENOFA and his e46 get the event win b/c he has had that BMW dialed in and gotten XDC practice off season plus he is not afriad to go out there first event of the season and go all out
JUSTIN PAWLAK gets his championship as he improves and stays consistant

  23. FERNANDO IBARIAS says:
    February 20, 2013 at 6:40 pm

    1- Daigo Saito
    2- Daijiro Yoshihara
    3- Vaughn Gittin

  24. Adrian Garcia says:
    February 20, 2013 at 9:09 pm

Matt Powers will win round 1 since he just got sponsored by Katech Performance and since he’s representing SD! He likes to get pitted haha! Although Matt Powers is my favorite driver, I’m sure Daigo will kill it this season and win the championship again.

  25. Jesus De La Torre says:
    February 20, 2013 at 10:18 pm

Vaughn Gittin jr (made a very impressive come back late last season to make the championship that more chaotic) or Justin Pawlak, he always starts off strong, and due to the results of last season you know he’s going balls out, eyes aimed at that number one spot!

  26. chris says:
    February 20, 2013 at 10:55 pm

The second of thé french drift championship should try to come to the FD for some rounds this year… Si because I’m french and I think he’s fois I say Mike Kauffmann…

  27. robert mclean says:
    February 21, 2013 at 1:32 am

The guy that won spirt of drift 2012. Damn what was his name . But he drove a mazda miata.DG

  28. Mitch Baier says:
    February 21, 2013 at 9:03 am

My predictions are that Justin pawlak will take round 1 again because he knows that track and has won it three yeas in a row and his car is tuned perfect for that track but as far as the overall competition I think diago will win it again because he has done all the tracks know and how to tune his car for each one and he won the competition last year without knowing any of the tracks

  29. Samuel Barnett says:
    February 22, 2013 at 2:38 am

I think rhys millen is come stronger this year.i feel the power he has n the Genesis

  30. Jourdan Bradley says:
    February 22, 2013 at 6:03 pm

I think Justin Pawlak will take the first round. As far as overall, I think Daigo Saito will kill it again. So stoked for formula d 2013! It will be ridiculous regardless of who wins.

As I said last year..todays rookie, tomorrows king..theres a hand full of drivers that love and hate the streets oflong beach.i really over see that the overall podium winners of 2013 is between- daigo saito, vaughn gittin jr,fredric aasbo*,ryan tuerck, and daijiro yoshihara/mattpowers….because of the track and cars best bet for round 1will end up as follows : 1st place- matt powers 2nd -vaughm gittin 3rd-daigo saito 4th- fredic assbo 5th- chriss fosberg 6th- rhys millen(may also get 2nd place depending on his car this year)…..over all…i love watching it go down year by year and theres always new talent and surpizes every year……..round one!! Cant wait!

  32. Javier alvarado says:
    February 22, 2013 at 10:58 pm

Also I see all the underdogs brewing up a big comeback this year to claim what they have missed out on last year…drivers to keep an eye on is-kyle mohan, ken gush!,tony angelo!,aurimas bakchis, micheal essa, jeremy lowe, and tyler mcquarie!.

  33. Quincy Mendoza says:
    February 23, 2013 at 6:04 pm

Who do I think will win RD1 at Long Beach?
I think VAUGHN GITTIN will take Long Beach.

Who do I think will be named champion?
DAIJIRO YOSHIHARA will have what it takes to be named champion this season.

  34. Neal Jacquet says:
    March 6, 2013 at 6:40 pm

My prediction is that Daigo Saito will win the first round and that the season will probably come down to him versus Vaughn Gittin for the championship title, But there will be a lot of challenging from rookies such as Jeremy Lowe or Chelsea DenoFa for the high positions on the leaderboards.

  35. Vivian H. says:
    March 9, 2013 at 6:09 pm

I think Justin Pawlak will take the first round, but I’m looking at Daigo Saito as the champion for this year. I’m just excited for this year regardless of who will end up at the top for 2013 🙂

  36. Richard Rabe says:
    March 16, 2013 at 12:32 am

Kinda hard to say. Possibly Daigo again. But then even maybe Chelsea Denofa or even someone new like Mike Pollard or Forrest Wang. It’ll be interesting this year with more new drivers and others with their new cars.

  37. Grandpa Bob Fagan says:
    March 16, 2013 at 3:23 am

This is the year of FD FLORIDA DRIVERS !

Long beach……1st = daigo.2nd= tuerck 3rd= cory hasford ….this year is going to be the best year .the rookies are sick.especially the just drift rookies ……and overall championship. gitten for 1st.. di for 2nd.. and daigo for 3rd

  39. Vikar Khan says:
    March 18, 2013 at 12:49 pm

the winner should be the person that is able to take the car with the most power and put the power on the ground. haha i’m new to the drift scene so i don’t know all the criteria that’s measured but in my perspective the ability to master the techniques of evasive manuevering is key to any driving challenge course.

The duration of CNA classes is between six to 12 weeks.

Nursing aides are also given necessary time to focus better on their jobs

    Skills-enrichment courses for blacksmithing, forging,
