I arrived bang on 7am at Teesside, keen to get unloaded and set up ready for briefing etc..
In the briefing we were told proximity to the clipping points was paramount and the judges also wanted to see a big flick initiation into the first corner!
With this in mind I went out for first practice with my foot down, but was finding it hard to keep a hold on the correct line! So in second practice I slowed a bit and managed to keep the line the judges where asking for!
We all stopped for lunch and then straight into the judging! We had 3 laps in which to get on all 3 clipping points, keep a technical line and impress the judges… and it worked!! I gave three strong runs and secured a semi-pro BDC licence!
Now its a mad rush to get my car ready for the season which starts in April! Keep up to date with progress on my Facebook page – Ollie Elmore’s Drifting Page
