Formula DRIFT – the world’s premier competitive drifting series – is pleased to announce a new halftime show for the 2018 season. Sponsored by AEM Induction Systems, the show will be available to event spectators as well as viewers of the Formula DRIFT livestream broadcast.

JE Pistons – an industry leader in high-performance forged and billet racing pistons – has crafted a unique relationship with Formula DRIFT and will launch a new technical video segment that will air during the series’ livestream broadcasts.
Former Formula DRIFT driver Robbie Nishida will host two JE Pistons sponsored technical segments during each of the nine livestream broadcasts. The videos are designed to educate viewers on everything from the art of drifting to making power under the hood, chassis setup, and more.
Each video can be viewed during the Formula DRIFT livestream and will be available post-race via the series’ social media channels.
Formula DRIFT – the world’s premier competitive drifting series – is delighted to announce its return to The House of Drift at Irwindale Speedway in Southern California for the Final Round on October 12/13, 2018.
Irwindale Speedway hosted the very first drift event in North America and has become synonymous with the fastest growing motorsport in the world.
Towards the end of 2017, Irwindale Speedway management announced it would be closing and Formula DRIFT actively sought an alternative venue. Its 2018 schedule initially indicated the 2018 Pro and Pro 2 Finals would take place in Las Vegas. However, everybody associated with Formula DRIFT was delighted to learn that Irwindale Speedway is under new management and has signed a three-year deal to keep the series at The House of Drift.
Long Beach, Calif. – December 20, 2017 – Formula DRIFT Black Magic Pro Championship will kickoff the 2018 Pro Championship season beginning with Round 1 in Long Beach on April 6 – 7. Tickets are now on-sale and can be purchased online via the Formula DRIFT website, www.formulad.com.
“Just in time for the holidays, tickets for our 15th Anniversary season are now on sale,” said Jim Liaw, president, and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. “The season kick-off is always exciting with new drivers and cars, it will be sure to sell out.”
The 2018 Pro Championship season will consist of 8 rounds of competition. Round 1 in Long Beach will mark the first event of the 15th season for the Series and the only California round of competition with the addition of St. Louis and the return to Las Vegas.
Tickets are now available for Round 1 on April 6-7 including 2-day ticket packages and VIP tickets and can be purchased through www.formuladrift.com, Ticketmaster outlets, and the Long Beach Convention Center box office. Ticket prices start at $43 for online pre-sale with all seats reserved for Saturday’s competition. VIP experiences are also available for purchase including reserved seating in Grandstand 18, a track walk during opening ceremonies and more.
