Long Beach, Calif. November 4, 2015 Formula DRIFT has announced the 2016 schedule of events. The schedule includes World Championship, Pro Championship, and PRO 2 events. In addition, both Formula DRIFT Japan and the inaugural Formula DRIFT Canada will have their own respective four event schedules.
Entering the thirteenth year of competition, Formula DRIFT will expand the Pro Championship to eight rounds of competition by including the Montreal round. This is the first event outside of the United States to be included in the Pro Championship in the history of the Series. The World Championship will consist of eight Pro Championship rounds and two Japan rounds of competition. The PRO 2 Series will consist of four rounds of competition with a new stand-alone PRO 2 and Pro Am event announced on September 30 October 1 in Phoenix, Arizona. Continue reading

Venues and Dates Announced for 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship
King of Europe Limited – a sports and entertainment firm with a focus on new Motorsports – today announced the venues and dates of the 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship. This tournament will be broadcast on Motors TV International, Eurosport Asia-Pacific and will feature drivers from all over the world competing across 4 continents.
“The 2016 King of Nations World Drift Championship will be an international affair,” said Mike Procureur, CEO of King of Europe Ltd. “Multiple events in four continents with drivers from all over the world demonstrates the demand for our property both in Europe and abroad. We expect to see more fans, more excitement and more sell-outs than ever before.”.

• January, 27-28: Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
• March, 26-27: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
• April, 2-3: Bangkok, Thailand.
• April, 23-24: Valencia, Spain.
• July, 2-3: Nikko, Japan.
• July, 9-10: Bihoku, Japan.
• July, 23-24: Greinbach, Austria.
• October, 22-33: Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
• November, 12-13: Mexico City, Mexico.
• December, 3-4: Melbourne, Australia.
In 2016, King of Nations will expand into new continents, as both South America and Middle East will host rounds of the championship. “These events showcase the popularity and growth of drifting in the world,” said Luc-Michel Faichaud, Circuit Manager of King of Europe. “Our series have expanded to include over 30 events, drifting is going to continue to grow and we are thrilled to be at the forefront.”
