Posted on June 30, 2010 by Staff

London,UK-June 28th 2010 – JDM All-stars continued there season run at Donington park for Round 2.Team Driftworks Federal Tyres driver Dan Chapman takes the win over teammate Phil Morrision with this result Dan shoots to the top of the championship table for the first time in three years.

Donington Park the historic Grand Prix track was the venue for Round 2.For 2010 JDM Allstars chose the Alpine course which consisted of parts of the old Melbourne Loop which was used all the way back in 1938. JDM Allstars round 3 would also be the opening event to launch Donington Park back into the motorsport calendar after its closure in 2009 after its attempt to hold the British F1 GP.

Round 2 was also the debut for Poland’s top two drivers Pawel Trela and Maciej Bochenek from the PFD series. Both new to the series but some series contenders after dominating in Poland this season. With the only one day event in the calendar Qualifying and Battles was packed into one day of action.

Immediately Dan Chapman, Luke Fink, Phil Morrison Pawel Trela and Maciej Bochenek looked on the pace showing great speed through the course. Championship leader Jon Calvert had a huge shunt on his second qualifying run after debuting his new Neuton Tyres S13. Jon was one of several cars that had hard impacts on turn 4 with the wall, which proved that this new alpine course was very demanding under its debut and was the most demanding track on the calendar.

After a gruelling Qualifying session Maciej Bochenek took the top qualifying position .He was closely followed by Luke Fink, Phil Morrison and Dan Chapman all gathering crucial extra qualifying bonus points.

All top four qualifiers then made it to the top 4 where Chapman beat Bochenek and Phil Morrision Beat Luke Fink. Europe’s most successful drift team would have an all Team Driftworks Final. Chapman edged the win after a small mistake from Phil.

After his win Dan Chapman commented “It was amazing to have an all Team Driftworks final and to meet Phil for the first time in the final, I didn’t expect to win. We both agreed full throttle no holding back at the startline, and the fastest man wins, thanks to all my sponsor’s , friends, family and everyone that showed up at  JDM Allstars”.

Posted on April 23, 2010 by Staff

For Immediate Release
April 20th 2010

JDM Allstars 2010 Round 1 – The Trafford Centre, Manchester Results.

Rookie Driver Jon Calvert takes the win and the championship lead in his first ever round of JDM Allstars.

JDM Allstars made its debut in the north west of the Unities Kingdom last weekend, kicking off its third year in competition.

The Trafford Centre’s custom-built street course kicked off the first round of the 2010 JDM Allstars Professional Drifting series. With a huge pre-event media advertising campaign put into action, the 2010 season opener was one of the most successful events in the history of JDM. Pre-sold tickets met new records numbers, further showing the growth in the following of the JDM Allstars brand. By midday on Sunday, the main event day, the venue was a sell-out with huge crowds coming from all over the UK and Europe.

With a new themed car show, Monster Trucks and Freestyle Motocross, the 2010 season opener was bigger than ever. This much anticipated season opener was shaping up to be a spectacular opening to the new season. Also being unveiled was the SAVE IT FOR THE TRACK roadsafety campaign zone.

One of the biggest additions to the 2010 series is the addition of the Jumbotron bigscreen at events. Here several thousand fans can get minute by minute updates in the pits.Live interviews so all footage can be seen aswell as saturdays actions.

Its also a great way to showcase our partner brands and showcase our Road safety partnership Save it For the Track viral video campaigns.

Going into the 2010 season there was lots of hype surrounding several new driver and team combinations as well as a few up and coming rookie drivers. With the change to a ‘dropped score’ format, meaning that out of the five championship rounds, each driver must drop one score, all the drivers are now able to compete in there national championships in between JDM events without having to worry about epossible event clashes. Round 1 unfortunately clashed with the Polish, Dutch and Irish series, so a few of the main championship players were missing. However one big last minute addition and one of the biggest names to commit to JDM in 2010 was 2009 Drift Australia champion Luke Fink, who would be joining the Severnside Imports /Nexen Tyres team.
