Media Alert: Formula DRIFT Television Program to Debut This Sunday on VERSUS

The 2011 Formula DRIFT Championship will debut the premiere episode of the season on the VERSUS network this Sunday, August 14, 2011 at 5:00 PM (EST) / 2:00 PM (PST). For the third consecutive year, Formula DRIFT will air the television program titled, “Formula DRIFT,” on the VERSUS network. The 14 half-hour long episodes will run for 14 consecutive weeks on Sundays at 5 PM (EST) beginning on August 14, 2011 with re-airs showing on Fridays at 5:30 PM (EST) beginning on August 19, 2011. The episodes will document all 7 Championship rounds and 1 invitational competition that took place in Qatar. The programs will be hosted by Formula DRIFT co-founder, Ryan Sage along with Formula DRIFT announcer, Jarod deAnda.

Formula DRIFT on VERSUS Weekend Schedule Change

The Sunday, 10/4 airing of Formula DRIFT on VERSUS is being moved to 5PM EST this weekend only. We were notified today by the network regarding this change. The change will ONLY be in effect for the 10/4 airing and will resume regular air times next week. The network has also notified us that they will re-air the show two times rather than the usual one re-airing. The dates and times are as follows: Tuesday 10/6 at 4:30pm and Wednesday 10/7 at 5:30pm EST

FD TV deal announced – now on Versus! Starting August 30th

Formula Drift has officially announced their TV package for 2009, and the series will be moving their programming over to Versus. Versus is currently in more than 75 million homes, and a prime airing slot Sunday Afternoon at 2 pm Eastern (11am Pacific) as well as an earlier start date (First program on August 30th) than Speed was able to offer last year, this should be a great deal. Many people were frustrated that the Speed programming didn’t start until after the entire season had ended, but this schedule should be much better for fans and sponsors.
