As D1GP USA: Round 3 has started in the windy city known as Chicago. We have several updates you all might want to know that is going on.
– Judge Change: Adam Andretti has been replaced by Rob Flemming former NOPI Drifter as a judge for Round 3. He will remain on as the current judge for the last event in NJ as well.
– Quoc Ly: Quoc in the DriftSpeed Silvia rolled his car and ended on the roof. Quoc is ok after the incident.
– Chelsea Denofa: Chelsea took his drift machine backwards into the k-rail. No report as in how bad the damage was.
– Tania “Spooky” Bourbonnais – Tania took the former RMR GTO pretty hard into the wall. More on this as we get it. (Tanias Car)
– Zoltan Hajdu – Took his car into the K-Rail pretty hard. (Current Car)
– Canadian Pat Cyr qualified first, Damien Bagley qualified 2nd.

D1 GRAND PRIX USA DRIVERS SET TO BATTLE IT OUT IN ROUND 3 & ROUND 4 OF THE 2009 CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SERIES
– D1GP USA Preps for Third Round Action at Chicago’s Famed Soldier Field –
LOS ANGELES (July 20, 2009) – After an impressive Round 1 and 2 of the 2009 Championship Points Series, D1 Grand Prix USA looks to Soldier Field and Englishtown Raceway for the final of four scheduled events. The battle for D1GP USA Champion is tightening as competitors from around the world try to catch the points leader and reigning champion Daigo Saito. This round will be the most explosive event yet with new international drivers joining the circuit, as well as the return of fan favorite Nobushige Kumakubo after his Round 2 absence. Round 3 will be held Saturday, August 1 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
