With two exciting rounds of the 2021 Formula DRIFT PRO season successfully under out belts, we look ahead to Round Three: The Gauntlet at Old Bridge Township Raceway in Englishtown, NJ. Taking place on June 18-19, it allows Formula DRIFT to finally make its mark at the brand-new, purpose-built drift arena, which replaces the NHRA drag strip.
Continue reading →Orlando Speed World hosted Round Two of the 2021 Formula DRIFT PRO Championship and the opening round of the new PROSPEC Championship (formerly PRO2). This gave the capacity crowd its first opportunity to witness the new weekend format, which allows both PRO and PROSPEC drivers to qualify on Friday and compete on Saturday. With PROSPEC running in the middle of the day and PRO in the afternoon, both Championships have equal exposure to fans and the popular, free-to-view Formula DRIFT livestream.

Perfect weather greeted fans as they arrived at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for Round One of the 2021 Formula DRIFT PRO Championship. All were expecting a world-class drift competition and nobody left disappointed.
The track, which hosted the inaugural FD event in 2004, remains a favorite among drivers and fans alike – its high-speed approach, flowing turns, and six-story elevation change give the track a unique character. And it’s a great place to start another year of epic drift battles after the traditional season-opener on the Streets of Long Beach was rescheduled to September 17-18.
