With running 4th in the pro standings Lydden Hill Round 4 was the big one for me, I came with my new sponsor expressdispense.com on board having supplied my tyres for the rest of the season.
I was ready to hit this round hard and with all of my final checks complete I went out on track and lined up for PRO practice 1. This was a new track layout and every lap counts to try to get the perfect line and impress judges.
On the first lap my gauges showed me a concerning drop in oil pressure, not wanting to destroy the engine I was straight into the pits to see what I could find. Unfortunately the gauge was correct, and it seems the old turbo I had that blew up had come back to haunt me!
A piece of the bearing made its way through the oil pump which made it unable to function properly, the car has already been fully rebuilt and been tested, its feeling amazing and I can’t wait to put all 500 horses to good use at Anglesey for Round 5!
Thanks for the continued support from my sponsors, new and old! It’s still possible for me to get a podium position at the end of the season in the class above the one I started in!
