The 2014 Formula D season has been on of great excitement and thrills from the Streets of long Beach to the Banks of Irwindale speedway where two drivers will battle it out for the 2014 Formula D Championship. Fredric Aasboo, considered to be one of the fan favorites in FD is looking to grab his First Formula D Championship while Chris Forsberg looks to further establish his place as one of the elite veterans of the sport by winning his Second Championship. No matter to outcome all in attendance were sure to be given on great show as Irwindale always does.
Our man Dean Kearney sure put on on amazing show all race weekend as well as showing great improvement threw out the entire season. The has gotten a real hang on the Viper Setup we can’t wait to see him back on track Next year.
One of my Favorite highlight from the weekend was Veteran FD driver and Just Drift Top Drift Judge Taka Aono making it into to 16. It was so amazing to hear the roar of the crowd as Taka was announced during Driver introductions. Such an amazing guy with much love and passion for the sport and a good group of people of people on his team. Was so sad his day ended cause of transmission problems
And leave it up to Irwindale to just keep adding on the the Championship excitement. Forsberg and Aasboo would end up meeting each other in the final 4 of the brackets. If Chris wins the Championship is his. But if Aasbo win’s he moves on to finals and keeps his Championship hopes alive. And boy Did Aasboo put up one hell of a fight and would beat Chris and leave him to wait it out. But the Saito would put on a dominating performance and beat Aasbo ending his up and down year on a high note .
Forrest Wang would claim the 3rd. place podium spot based off of his #1 Qualifying position.
Chris Forsberg would edge out Aasbo to win his second Formula D Title. Foresburg and team had one great year starting off with a win in long beach and putting together a string of 5 consecutive podium finishes.
Kenny Moen would revive the fan vote for the Revdaward and win the Custom base-camp ax and $2,000.
