Round 5 marked 10 years of competitive drifting in Ireland, during which they have never been beaten. The Irish Drift Championship set a target on their own backs and invited some of the best drivers from around the world to take part, retaining that streak would mean beating drivers such as Chris Forsberg, Matt Carter, Phil Morrison. They had their own share of drivers with Darren ‘D-mac’ McNamara, Dean ‘Karnage’ Kearney, Jack Shanahan and James Deane, all aiming to take the top spot on the podium.

After a full weekend of action and hard fought battles James Deane would be victorious, standing on the top step of the podium and retaining their winning streak. Chris Forsberg’s car gave up before the final resulting in him taking second and Matt Carter claimed third.
