May Bank Holiday weekend and the annual visit to Japfest: Europes Biggest Japanese Car Show.
Its now been at Silverstone for a couple of years since it outgrew its previous venue, its easy to see why with a huge selection of cars on display, with all styles, manufacturers and models being represented.
I hunted out a couple of car features to bring you in a couple of weeks along with lining up some more for the future, this 350Z caught my eye though, although its hard to walk past something in this colour without it grabbing some attention.
A couple of clean S14s sat nearby along with this S2000.
It wasn’t all static displays though, the public track sessions gave the owners chance to drive around the ‘home of British Motorsport’. This time attack style Evo got my attention, unfortunately it was on track so much I didn’t get to look closer at it in the paddock.
The Drift Kings competition is what brings me back to this show year on year. The drivers get three sessions to impress the judges in different ways with a session being scored on entry speed, another on the style of entry and the final session on a mixture of the two.
As you can imagine the drivers go all out on the speed and entries throughout the day, Matt Carter managed a 113mph entry in the speed session and this impressive backward entry in the final session of the day.
Ill leave you with some more photos from the event, until next time….
