Our sources on the inside have informed us that Sport Compact Car was axed this week. While the magazine wasn’t too big on drifting content, it’s just another sad sign of the state of our economy and our industry. Advertisers are pulling budgets, and print magazines are suffering. SCC joins the likes of Turbo, Car Audio and Electronics, Traction (a magazine that was around for such a short period of time it didn’t even have an official website!), and Siphon as magazines which have been cut by Source Interlink this year. We hear that some of the editors will be re-assigned to other publications, but others are now looking for work.

I also picked that magazine when I started in sport compacts 9 years ago… loyal to the magazine, great articles, I learned a lot… a huge loss… good luck to the writers, photographers and editors 🙁
