Seattle, WA – Chris Jeanneret is proud to announce his commitment to the 2013 Formula Drift series as a rookie, and will be aiming to challenge for the Rookie of the Year title. Over the past year, Chris has focused his efforts on building a program that can be competitive in Formula D as it was at the ProAm level with Evergreen Drift. After earning 3 top-4 finishes in 5 events and 2nd place overall in the 2011 Evergreen Drift series, Jeanneret has spent the last year lining up the support needed for a competitive 2013 program, and is aiming for the top.
Jeanneret has worked before as a spotter and crew chief for Mitsuru Haraguchi, Tommy Suell, and Victor Moore, and feels that his experiences to date have primed him for this opportunity. “Although this will be my rookie season as a driver in Formula Drift, I have been in the pits and behind the scenes for several years now” said Jeanneret. “I’m ready to apply the knowledge I’ve acquired while helping other drivers out to my own driving career. 2013 is my year to shine.”
With a mechanical background, as well as an aggressive and snappy driving style, Jeanneret plans to be one of the rookies to make an impact in 2013.
For the 2013 season, STR Wheels has been signed as the title sponsor. STR wheels is a manufacturer of high performance racing wheels at an affordable price, and Jeanneret will be their first sponsorship in Formula D.
Additional sponsors for the 2013 season include Falken Tire, CNC Autosports, RyWire, Advanced Induction, TEIN, SPL Parts, Weddle Industries, Wiseco Pistons/K1 Rods, NissanParts.cc,
Factory83, Diversity Law and Mark II Collision Center.
