Well what a very exciting first event for the Homestead-Miami Speedway. From Cars Flying and trying to go back to the future to seeing Two former FD champions Failing to Qualify for top 32. Vaughn Gittin Jr. was able to take the win and get back to back wins after defeating current points leader and Drift Alliance buddy Chris Forsberg. And this was yet another amazing showing for this years most outstanding Driver Kenny Moen as well as the rookie Geoff Stoneback who was giving the FD Veterans a run for their money. Stoneback Was also to the win in the first ever round of the Formula D Pro2 Championship. Look for more Great things to come from him and all the up and coming FD Drivers. Im New Jersey and flew down to Florida to visit my brother and go to this event. and I have to say my favorite moment so far this season was this past round when Matt Field pulled that move on Forsberg, which in my opinion should have given him the win by default.
Now for RD4 I think if Daigo’s car is working 100% nobody is gonna be able to stop him. I will not be surprise if we see an Achilles tire sweep at Wall.
The best moment of 2014 FD was definitely Denofa’s and McQuarrie’s run. It was an accidental when Denofa climbed on the camaro and during the second time after the OMT, Denofa gave a good show when his tires lit up. And their run will be remembered the same as their run in 2012 where they had a huge crash.
So far this season the point battle between Gittin and Forsberg is the most interesting, they are 10 pts apart and I think it will be few points apart for the rest of the season.
I think Forsberg will win next battle as long as he doesn’t go against hittin.
This season my favorite moments were when Geoff Stoneback showed others that he’s a good competitor and I hope he gets rookie of the year award.
Next round I hope Daigo Saito gets a podium.
