2014 – SOLB – Formula Drift Media Day
So the season starts here and starts now. The mean streets of Long Beach California. We have had the privilege being a Media Partner with Formula Drift over several years now and as they celebrated 10 years last year, we get the opportunity to do the same this year. So as the season begins, we hit Media Day to get some early impressions on cars and enjoy some drifting. It was a good day overall but as Long Beach is known to do. It took several victims out the gate. Dean “Karnage” Kearney and Ryan Tuerck both went in to the tire walls backwards sending them back home for repairs. We should be seeing both of these drivers back at it Friday morning. Enjoy some of what we shot below.

It’s time to get the 2014 Formula D Season underway down on the Streets of Long Beach. Last years FD season was one full of drama and excitement, and were sure this year will be the same.
Formula DRIFT Round 1: Streets of Long Beach Tickets On-Sale
Long Beach, Calif. January 29, 2014 Formula DRIFT kicks off the eleventh season of competition beginning with Round 1: Streets of Long Beach on April 4-5. Tickets are now on-sale and can be purchased online via the Formula DRIFT website, www.formuladrift.com
This will be our seventh consecutive year drifting on the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Street Course, said Jim Liaw, president and co-founder of Formula DRIFT. With the new season brings new cars and new drivers to the Series and we are excited to kick off the action in April to another sell out audience.
Formula D Rd.1 2013 event Coverage
Formula D returned to the Streets of Long Beach to kick off its 10th year of competition. The Long Beach Round is always an exciting one, from all of the new vehicles to the new group of ProAm drivers making a leap to the pro ranks. Also this round of competition would also be the debut of the all new formula D Rules including the re working of how Qualifying will play out.
Vaughn Gittin Jr. & the RTR Drift Team kick off the 2013 season with a 2nd place finish at Formula D Rd. 1 in the Streets of Long Beach
BALTIMORE, Md. (April 15, 2013) – Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift team slid into the Streets of Long Beach over the weekend with the Monster Energy Nitto Tire 2014 Ford Mustang RTR ready to rock and battle it out for a podium finish. Drift fans traveled from near and far to help Formula D kick off their 10th season at this sold-out and bigger-than-ever event. After five epic battles with some fierce competition, Vaughn Gittin Jr. landed himself on the podium in 2nd place overall.
