Well it’s has been one exciting year of Formula D action with a hand full of great moments that have entertained us the entire season. But now it must come to an end but not before we see the amazing battles that the House of Drift Has to offer. Will we see and new winner to cap of the season or will Chris Forsberg continue his domination of the Year and cap his season off with a win and show that hes has what it takes to be a two time FD Champion. Formula DRIFT Round 5: Throwdown Results; Darren McNamara Takes the Victory

Long Beach, Calif. – July 19, 2014 -– Formula DRIFT returned to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA for Round 5: Throwdown. Darren McNamara in the Falken Tire Nissan S14 takes his first victory of the season.

Round 5: Throwdown held at Evergreen Speedway showcased intense competition throughout the weekend. The weather held up for the capacity crowd as they were entertained by the action on track, the open paddock and Offset Kings car show.

“The competition has tightened up with only two events remaining this season,” says Jim Liaw, President of Formula DRIFT. “We can expect the final two rounds of the season to be as intense as ever. The drivers will be battling for every point possible.”

Formula DRIFT Announces Contract Extensions for Venues

Long Beach, Calif. – July 17, 2014 – – Formula DRIFT presented by GoPro has extended contracts with Road Atlanta and Evergreen Speedway through the 2016 season. The Streets of Long Beach venue partnership will continue in 2015.

“The growth of Drift Atlanta over the past 11 years has been phenomenal,” stated Road Atlanta President and General Manager Geoff Lee. “We are pleased to extend our relationship with Formula DRIFT through 2016, and continue to build on the momentum that has made Drift Atlanta one of the largest and most renowned drifting events in North America.”

All we can say is wow Fd Rd.5 in Jersey was one exciting event. From some close tandem battle, and a little carnage here and there. Big congratulates to Fredric Aasbo getting his Fist win in the Formula D Pro Series. And another strong points day for currents points leader Chris Forsberg as he takes home second place and continues the sting of podium finishes. Also we would like to congratulate Odi Bakchis on getting his First ever Podium in FD as well. He sure threw down some amazing Runs. Well now the FD Circus moves on up to the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. Well now time to get on to the good stuff…..Giveaway time!!!!!!!

Formula D RD.4 – Formula DRIFT Round 4: The Gauntlet Results; Fredric Aasbo Takes His First Career Pro Championship Victory

Long Beach, Calif. – June 21, 2014 – Formula DRIFT returned to Wall Speedway in New Jersey for Round 4: The Gauntlet. Fredric Aasbo in the Hankook Tire Scion Racing tC takes his first Formula DRIFT Pro Championship victory.

Round 4: The Gauntlet provided the sold out crowd to an exciting event experience complete with hard fought battles throughout the competition. Friday attendance saw exponential growth from the previous season making this the most attended Formula DRIFT event at this venue. 

“9 years ago we invested in Wall Speedway, when we paved the infield and it continues to prove to have been a wise decision as we experienced the biggest Wall Speedway crowd ever this weekend,” says Jim Liaw, President of Formula DRIFT. “This part of the country has become an integral and established stop for the championship.” Continue reading →
