Countdown Started Untill Launch of Youngest European Drift Series

After months of preparation, it looks like the first round of the Open Drift Championship is gaining faster by the day. The Open Drift Championship is the newest drift series in Europe with his base in The Netherlands.
According to SD-Events owner Dennis van Orsouw are the last bits always the toughest: “You start with the big parts of the puzzle. While the event is coming closer, the parts are getting smaller and you are taking more time in making it all fit in one piece. But we receive a big support from our partner Skycell Events and so we are optimistic for the first round.”

The last months there have been lots of obscurity about the continued existence of competition drifting in the Netherlands and Belgium. With the end of Xtreme Drift it seemed like the competition drift would die a silent death. From different corners was tried to make sure the sport of drift continues as we know it.

Luckily some of those succeeded! SD Events proudly presents you: The Open Drift Championship

In November 2008 a new company was started, called SD Events, with Dennis van Orsouw (Stickerland.nl) as the owner. SD Events is the company for organizing Drift Matches, Drift Demonstrations and Drift Incentives. With partners like Skycell, Libéma and Van De Most Owners Group is SD Events in a strong position for locations and facility’s. And with a professional drifting team as his team, Dennis van Orsouw is surrounded by big expertise.
