Casper Canul Update: Round 3 & 4
Casper Canul was looking to place high in this weekends past Formula Drift: Round 4 in Las Vegas event. After an incident in New Jersey, which caused him to be knocked out early during competition. He went into Las Vegas looking to make a come back even stronger since he has now broken in the new BC (Brian Crower) motor that he acquired and has become fully comfortable with and was ready to come out and show what the car and he himself had to give. With the help of his new found back yard to practice and zero in the car at a local Bi-Weekly venue called Inland Drift in Lake Perris. Casper had been able to make sure all bugs were worked out, and perfected the car on his way to his next stop Las Vegas!
Unfortunately that wasn’t the case as it came the time at the event. Thursday’s practice Casper was aggressive and tagged the wall and was very confident and having fun with the car and the heat. On Friday, Casper’s parents arrived showing their support, only to have problems arise with the turbo boost which was considerably down in power. During practice before qualifying the ARK Nissan S14.5 broke the rear knuckle, a caliper, and a piece of rotor nearly hit a photographer which Casper later autographed. Continue reading

Mohan has battle of the day while Kanavas takes second in Pro-Am
(Signal Hill, Calif.) – Kyle Mohan, Formula Drift Pro Championship driver – and for the first team, team owner – got his weekend at the fourth round of the Formula Drift Pro Championship in Las Vegas started off on the right foot with his best qualifying effort of the season.
On a newly-configured Las Vegas track that featured a fast entry and long initiation that claimed cars all weekend, Mohan laid down an 80-point qualifying run that put him 12th in the field, putting him against good friend Patrick Mordaunt in the first round of competition.

Hankook Takes Top Two Spots at Formula Drift Event
Hankook’s First Ever Win Puts the tire maker in the Running for 2009 Championship
WAYNE, N.J. – Hankook Tire drivers Tanner Foust and Ryuji Miki placed first and second respectively at this weekend’s Formula Drift event at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The one-two finish marked Hankook’s first ever Formula Drift win and the first time two Hankook drivers finished together on the podium.
This weekend’s results put two Hankook drivers within reach of the Formula Drift championship.
