Andrezej Mania returned to competition for Driftcup Round 2 at the Adrian Flux Arena, Norfolk, after making some changes to his car from the end of last season.
The car has been remapped to give it more useable power, combined with a more agressive clutch setup and sequential shifter.
In the run upto the event there were some issues with a boost leak, this was finally rectified the day before the event.
There was no time to check if this had the car running at its full 400hp so they left for the track and just hoped it would run properly.
During the practice session it was looking good, Andrzej could feel that the car was running on full power and his confidence on track was improving with each run.
Historically this hasnt been a good track for Andrzej, this time it would be better as he qualified in 25th, enough to go through to the all important battles.
Maciej Harwysz was his opponent in the top 32, the first run of the battle was too close to call so it went for a One More Time.
One the second run through Maciej Harwysz was deemed to have the advantage, putting him through to the next stage of battles.
Andrzej was happy with his driving at this round, getting some valuable battle practice and plenty of runs on track throughout the day.
He is looking forward to Round 3, Three Sisters Race Circuit, as it suited his car last year.
Can we see Andrzej in the top 4 at the next round? Come along to the track and find out on the 2nd July.
