Teesside Autodrome was a new track for me, I had never driver here but I have seen plenty of videos from other events here including the British Drift Championship Livestream.
Teesside Autodrome was the location of Driftcup Round 4, a track I hoped I was able to link by the end of the weekend.
Round 3 of the HEL Performance Driftcup season at Rockingham Motor Speedway was one of the best custom layout that I have driven, it was fast and technical but very rewarding to drive if you nailed all of the clipping points.
I came away from Round 2 disappointed in myself for not qualifying although I had some ideas on where I could make some improvements to the car.
After breaking the car in our top 16 battle at Round 2 of Driftcup we had a little bit of work to do ahead of Round 3 at Rockingham. We replaced both the drive shafts that we snapped as well as the rear wheel bearing that exploded and slightly modified our custom rear hub set up to overcome the weak point we found which lead to us snapping the driveshaft. With that now all fixed it was the usual oil change, map check/tweak, bolt check and wheel alignment before we were finally ready!
Not long after the dust had settled from round 2, we quickly went to work fitting a new braking system featuring a custom twin caliper set up from SR Autobodies and custom HEL Performance braided brake lines which now run inside the car.
