First off I’d like to say how much of a pleasure it is to work with Ryan Tuerck and the Gardella Racing team… they are a professional, talented and dedicated group of guys.
Here is a link to their site – gardellaracing.com/
Second, the inspiration for this video came from a music video I recently saw online from the artist Sapient. He is a local musician from the Portland area were I live, and I have been bumping his stuff for years since his days in the group Sandpeople.
You should check out his facebook for songs and updates on his tour @ facebook.com/Sapientkills
Lastly, for this video I wanted to try a few new things… I wanted to use only one lens for the main section, and that being a 50mm f1.2 at 1.2. I also wanted to get yet another style of video for Tuerck. The last one we did at the Seattle FD stop was more on the comical side (vimeo.com/28039775), so we decided to flip the Vegas one a different direction.
I want to continue to try and find ways to show other sides of these drivers than we are all used to. It’s hard for me to follow a driver through a series if I know little about him/her. So my goal was to show how real life a person like Ryan Tuerck is, and how good he is at swinging a beast around like that Camero(which I got a ride in and will never forget).
That said, hope you enjoy the work.
