Perhaps he got the idea from his Drift Alliance teammate, Ryan Tuerck, who competed at Redline Time Attack Englishtown, but Chris Forsberg, who currently leads the Formula Drift Pro Championship with one round remaining in the 2009 season, will compete at next week’s Redline Time Attack event at Spring Mountain Motorsports Park in Pahrump, Nev. Forsberg will drive his old competition car, a 2003 Nissan 350Z that has an SR20DET engine in place of the VQ35. This event will be Forsberg’s first timed event, and naturally he will compete in the Drift class.
“We’re just going for fun and to try it out,” Forsberg told us. “Our car is still on a drift setup, and this is our first time attack, so we will see how it goes.”
