The weekend of August 24-25 Formula D made it 6th stop of the 2012 season at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This round always manages to be full of thrills and excitement for both fans and the drivers. This time around the driver would be facing a new layout for the Vegas round.
Formula D:Rd.6 After-Dark – With a crazy shake up in the points after Rd.5 2010 Fd Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. Heads in to the Vegas round as the new points leader with a 7.5 lead over second place Daigo Saito. Vegas being a crazy fast entry could be a track that feet Daigo’s driving style well. And can JTP come back from the disappointing outcome from Washington and show he hasn’t been fazed and take back his #1 spot? It’s looking to be a very exciting round. With entry speeds at over 100mph, scorching temperatures and a track surrounded by ecstatic fans, After Dark was a Formula Drift event like no other. Top drivers battled for points to secure their final positions before FDs final round in Irwindale on October 7th-8th. Once the smoke cleared Red Bull driver Rhys Millen pulled away wining a thrilling battle against Falken Tires driver Darren McNamara.
