2009 Formula D – Atlanta Event Report

With the weather forecasted for rain in Braselton, GA during round 2 of the Formula Drift series, the newly built Falken Tire/Discount Tire Lexus IS350 piloted by Daijiro Yoshihara was going to be a challenge. This was especially the case since he was drifting in Road Atlanta Speedway, one of the most technically challenging courses in the series.

Practice sessions provided Daijiro more time to adjust to the Lexus before competition. Due to a new build for 2009, the Lexus was still not 100% ready for competition. “The car has a small window of drivability,” explains Daijiro. “If I can drive the car in that window, then I’m ok. If not, I have to work harder to make the car drift.”

Wallpaper’s Now Available

If you haven’t yet seen the new section on the site. Feel free to do so here.  We will be adding more as we go along and feel free to request your favorite driver.  Currently added is 2 vehicles from the Formula Drift series.  1st up is Hiro Sumida’s Lexus IS350, shot by co-Founder of EverythingDrift.com, Jacob Leveton.  This vehicle ran the Forumula Drift series and ended up meeting a wall and its demis at Formula Drift: Final Fight. Read up on the vehicle as it was prior to the event here. 2nd vehicle happens to be a Rookie to Formula Drift series, Justin T. Pawlak’s “The National Wave” Mazda RX7.  Another person to make an impression at Formula Drift: Final Fight.  Coming in 3rd place for the event.  The car was featured in Mazda USA’s site and we ran a small tid bit here.   Enjoy these great shots as we provide both a standerd aspect and widescreen and all in high resolution.

You can give them a good upbringing, you can give them counseling but there is no guarantee your spawn is going to turn out to be Rhodes Scholar. You can do everything textbook but sometimes the will power of kids can break your spirit and they cut the leash. A sharp parent would recognize a habitual problem child by their early teens and start making plans to have them removed by 16.
