It all came down to this: Formula Drift’s season finale at the infamous House of Drift, the round where a champion is crowned and the action is at its highest extreme.

For team SR by Toyota, it’s our last round of competition representing the SR by Toyota brand, and all three drivers—Fredric Aasbo (Papadakis Racing/Nexen SR by Toyota tC), Ken Gushi (GReddy Racing/Nexen SR by Toyota 86) and Ryan Tuerck (O’Reilly/Gumout/Hankook SR by Toyota 86)—were prepared to go the entire distance for the win or go out fighting.

For the first time, Formula DRIFT takes its Championship abroad to the Great White North. The SR by Toyota team sends another driver to the podium and all three drivers continue to make their push up the Championship ladder. The thing about racing is that sometimes things don’t go as planned. Fredric Aasbo and the Papadakis Racing team goes through another blown engine and races against time to get back on the grid while Ken Gushi faces a former Formula DRIFT champion early on in the rounds. Ryan Tuerck’s car spits flames, in an unfortunate manner, as he takes his last run.

Well we took that same car to Buttonwillow and invited the Baker Skateboards team for a little fun. The Formula DRIFT 2015 season has been a very exciting one after what seemed like it was going to be a slow start. Ken Gushi ran into some issues during Round 1 at Long Beach, but was able to bounce back with consecutive podium wins including a never-ending One More Time battle at Atlanta.
