FORMULA DRIFT RETURNS TO THE WEST COAST FOR ROUND FIVE IN MONROE, WA

Returning from the summer break, the 2018 Formula DRIFT Black Magic Pro Championship headed to Seattle, WA for Round Five: Autozone Throwdown presented by Rain-X. With the first half of the season over, and one of the most competitive driver line ups ever seen in the sport, it is time for teams to make a push to the Finals at Irwindale Speedway in October. And with only 39 points separating the top three places, there is still everything to play for.

 

As the event got underway, Formula DRIFT was delighted to announce it had signed a new three-year deal with the operators of Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA. This has secured the future of FD Seattle at the venue it has used successfully since 2005. “We’re so excited to have signed this three-year deal,” said Jim Liaw, Formula DRIFT president. “Our entire organization, the teams and fans love coming here. There’s always tremendous energy in the grandstands and the paddock, which gives the event its own special personality.”

Well Formula D True North sure was an exciting and event filled round wasn’t it.? Well now the Formula D teams make their way on over to Evergreen Speedway. Well after a few spend some all nighters getting the cars back in shape from their True North adventures.  We want to send you to experience the Thrill of the FD Action in person and all you have to do is let us know what has been your favorite moment so far this season. also if want to chime in and let us know who you think will take the win out at Rd.6  

All entries must be received by July 28th, 2017 12 noon(PST). Email to winners will be sent later that evening. Make sure you leave your real email address when inputting the comment, as we will be emailing you to confirm its a valid address and to inform the winners. *1 The email address will not be shown to the public (This does not include air or transportation to the event or room and board). Ticket will be good for both Saturday and Friday.

Formula DRIFT Round 5: Throwdown Results; Darren McNamara Takes the Victory

Long Beach, Calif. – July 19, 2014 -– Formula DRIFT returned to Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA for Round 5: Throwdown. Darren McNamara in the Falken Tire Nissan S14 takes his first victory of the season.

Round 5: Throwdown held at Evergreen Speedway showcased intense competition throughout the weekend. The weather held up for the capacity crowd as they were entertained by the action on track, the open paddock and Offset Kings car show.

“The competition has tightened up with only two events remaining this season,” says Jim Liaw, President of Formula DRIFT. “We can expect the final two rounds of the season to be as intense as ever. The drivers will be battling for every point possible.”
