12 years old, the King of Europe Series will continue its growth throughout Europe in 2016. King of Europe
has become the meeting point for the best drifters in the world, with drivers attending from 50 different
countries since 2005.

The first official series in Europe, King of Europe Pro Series, is recognized as Europe’s professional drifting
championship. Open to top-level drivers and run over eight rounds, the Pro Series is the ultimate prize for
drifters. This is King of Europe’s heart.

King of Europe Pro2 series, which will be replacing the “Street Legal Series” gives semi-pro drifters a chance
to enter international events in front of a professional panel of judges and audience. It also offers drivers the
opportunity to run on the same pro layouts during the season. Continue reading →

King of Europe Round 6 and 7: Double-Feature in Valencia

Posted on September 23, 2015 by George

19th of September, Valencia, Spain
The Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries has returned to Spanish soil exactly one year since the final battle of 2014, which was held on the same race track in Valencia, the Circuit Ricardo Tormo. Back then, Vaughn Gittin Jr. took 1st overall in the race, with Francesco Conti in 2nd and Bartosz Stolarski in 3rd, while Adam Kerenyi managed to get a historical third European title under his name. Now nearing the end of the 2015 season, after races in France, Poland, Austria, the United Kingdom and Hungary, drivers knew that Spain would be an important step in chasing down this year’s title. Using the exact same layout as 2014, drivers started rolling out for practice early in the morning, with just a few hours of seat time before the start of the qualifying session. The lineup for today had a good mix of local top Spanish drivers and some of the finest pro drifters in Europe and around, coming from countries like Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, France, Italy, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, the United Kingdom , Israel and even Argentina.

It came as no surprise that Adam Kerenyi was once again the top qualifier, with a total of 92,92 points, as Calin Ciortan followed closely behind with 91.03 points. Norbert Kovacik was 3rd overall, with Adam Frank and 4th, and a surprising P5 by French driver Eddy Laissue. Surprisingly enough, Arnau Gomez was the only Spanish driver inside the Top10, in 6th to be more precise, as Baggsy took 7th , Monteverde took 8th, Mota in 9th and Eli Hountondji in 10th. Drivers were all fired up even in the Top32, and everyone was giving it all they had out on the track, with the Spanish fans also getting very enthusiastic after each and every run. Top ranking Pro Series driver Szilveszter Gyorgy was knocked out by Nicolas Maunoir, which came as a huge surprise to everyone. Continue reading →

Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries: Adam Kerenyi Once Again on Top of the Podium

Posted on August 29, 2015 by George

As the dust has finally settled after the large scale operation in Tokol, Hungary this past weekend, it’s time to do a recap of what went down with Round 5 of the Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries.

Tokol has been an important stop for King of Europe for many years now, and even though other venues have been selected for holding events under the KoE banner in the past, Tokol remains a favorite in the books of drivers and fans both alike, thanks to the numerous possibilities in configuring the track layout, the large surface available for the event itself, the actual location which is close to nearby countries like Austria, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Ukraine, and last but not least the overall feeling that you get by stepping into the ex-Soviet airport.

With Rounds 6 and 7 in Spain already announced to take place in the same weekend in Valencia, and with Slovakia using a double-points system for the end of the season, drivers knew that Tokol would be an important strategic step towards getting closer to the title of 2015 Monster Energy King of Europe Drift ProSeries Champions.
With Round 3 of the King of Europe Street Legal and the Queen of Europe Series being scheduled at the same type, in the same location, the paddock area quickly started getting occupied Friday afternoon, as drivers pulled in for the technical inspection, and for setting up their own zone.
