Driftcup Round 2 at Three Sisters Race Circuit in Wigan was going to be tough for many of the drivers, myself included, as it hasn’t been used for competition in the last year or two along with the fact that it has recently been resurfaced.
I didn’t change anything on the car since the previous round, just a couple of repairs and a bit of servicing, so I could just spend my time getting used to the track layout and grip levels during the practice sessions.
On Saturday I found that I struggled with the judged line around the track although I was enjoying the huge amount of seas time as I tried to dial the car in.
Sunday morning gave me another couple of hours to really try to get the line right but by qualifying I was still struggling, although it felt ok.
I failed to qualify this time so I have to push hard at the next round at Rockingham this coming weekend to try to improve on my results this season.
Thanks to everyone that supports me including Wide Nation, Comp Brake & EverythingDrift.com.
