Just a quick post to let you all know that I have done up my event report on deankearney.com following my second place finish in the UK at Rd3 of the Prodrift Super Series. This result effectively means that the championship will go down to the wire at the last round in Mondello Park on September 5th where 1 of 3 drivers could be crowed Prodrift Super Series champion 2009.

I was thinking of a blog report to share with you guys that will be different from what you may find on deankearney.com already so I bring to you an exclusive day with me at the Prodrift Academy in Mondello Park from last saturday, August 15th. I’ve been asked a lot of times “what do you do at the Academy on an average day?” etc etc so here goes!

First off I just want to thank EverythingDrift.com for contacting me and asking me to be a blogger for them here. I really appreciate it and I hope the blogs i post for all you guys are enjoyable! As most of you may know Prodrift was on last weekend over here in Ireland, Round 4 in Mondello Park. Our friends in the Emerald Isle sent us some quick snaps of Darren’s drift car for the 2009 Pro Drift season. The car was used last year for the ProDrift Ireland series, but has been overhauled for 2009. Darren is sponsored by Origin Europe and Compomotive wheels. Word on the street is that the wheels are 13xHUGE! Last year, the car was under 1,000 kg’s in weight, and the 4AG motor has some additional horsepower for 2009. We’ll keep you updated as we get more information.
